Welcome to!  My name is Derek Carty, and I’m a fantasy baseball writer and analyst.   If you’re not familiar with me or my work yet, you can check out the main page where I’ve posted a brief bio of myself or any of the links on the side where you can read about my work in greater detail.

I’ve been writing for and co-managing The Hardball Times Fantasy for the past four seasons, but this season I’ll also be doing some work elsewhere, so I thought it would be a good idea to put up as a way for my readers to keep track of everything that I’m doing.  Every time I write a new article, complete a draft, make a trade, participate in a radio interview, or anything else of note, I’ll be posting it here.  You can also follow me on Twitter, Facebook, or Google Reader/Buzz for similar (but probably not comprehensive) updates.

Anyway, here’s what I’m up to this season (after the jump):

In addition to a (usually weekly or biweekly) column at THTF, I’ll also be posting a weekly column about daily leagues at FanDuel.  I’ve been meaning to do it for years, but I decided that this would finally be the year I take the plunge into daily leagues.  You can find me playing daily games at FanDuel, and if they’re as addicting as I imagine they will be, maybe you’d like to join me over there.  Even if you’re not a daily league player, though, some of the things I’ll be writing about will absolutely be applicable to regular leagues, so be sure to read.

I’m also taking on a slightly larger role with the Cardrunners Fantasy Baseball Expert League, serving as co-commissioner of the league.  Throughout the season I’ll be an active participant in the discussions that go on at the CR Fantasy site and will be posting occasional articles there too.

Finally, I have one last site that I’ll be working for, but I’m not able to divulge any details yet.  When I am, I’ll be sure to let you know.  I’m very excited about this potentially revolutionary project and can’t wait to let you all in on it!

I’m eternally thankful for my readers, because without you, I wouldn’t be where I am today.  As you can tell, I’ve got a lot going on this season, but I always try to make myself available in case you have any questions.  You can contact me via e-mail or Google Talk and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.

Good luck to you in your fantasy leagues this year, and if you’d like to spread the word about, by all means!

P.S. I realize the site design is a little plain. With everything going on with my new gigs and preparing for five expert leagues, I’ve been a little busy. Eventually I’ll get around to putting together a sharper design, but this should do for now.
